About us

Who are we?

Future Vision Initiative Tanzania (FVI) is a registered non-governmental organization (Registration No. OONGO/R/8205) dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and contributing to national development. We empower marginalized grassroots communities, with a special focus on children, particularly girls, in rural Tanzania, ensuring they have access to quality education and opportunities to reach their full potential.

At FVI, we go beyond education. We support access to healthcare and sanitation, Clean water, protect children from inequality, and promote sustainable livelihoods and gender-inclusive opportunities. By nurturing the talents and aspirations of individuals and families, we drive inclusive socio-economic development, helping communities build a brighter, more equitable, and sustainable future.

In rural Tanzania, 58% of children live below the international poverty line (World Bank, 2018), facing significant barriers to education, healthcare, and opportunity. Many families cannot afford school fees, uniforms, or meals, which often forces children to leave school early, enter child labor, or face exploitative situations. Without support, poverty becomes intergenerational, limiting potential and perpetuating inequality. FVI works to break this cycle, giving children the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.
